    Yes they can do but in the case of the dryer/condenser valve it is only a small trickle of water that passes through constantly. As a rule if you have any flow at all then that proves that the inlet valve is OK.

    …..and yes they do run warm, the coil does anyway.

    I know I’m a couple of years too late to the party but was wondering whether you ever found a solution as I am having the same problem?

    Have you checked:

    Condenser valve water flows?
    Condenser clear of fluff?
    Blower fan operates?
    Heater ducting clear?
    Good flow of hot air to drum?
    ….and whatever else I forgot to list 😀
