Must admitt that I`ve only ever had this once in 14 years of being in business , when someone questions whether you should call yourself an Engineer or not.

He pratted on about university and because it took me longer to discuss his problem than replace the brushes on his Hotpoint , I charged him £10 extra and he paid it without even a question .

Great , best tenner I ever made 8).

PS – Hope he sees this title scrolling through , that`ll make him even madder .

He’s a prat who needs putting down. I will not tolerate that sh1t on this site, end of story.

But to be fair, he’s made himself look a prat. I just nudged it a little. 😉

With any luck he’ll learn fast and bog off, if not I’m here all night. 😈

I for one would like to support Mike and I think you should give the guy a break as you dont realise his circumstances, He has just got this new job at Sellafield after being off with a serious work related illness for 20 years.

His last job was in Chernobyl :rotl:

Oh I do hope to use that one on him…

I was taught physics by one of the guys that helped develop Dounreay along with a whole bunch of other physicists and engineers who were working for the oil industry on NDT stuff. Wonder if that qualifies me as an engineer given I have to draw and help design some of the kit to do that?

Oh sorry, no it doesn’t. Oops, I forgot to go get a BSc. Dammit, I knew I meant to do something last week. 😳

    He’s a prat.

    Re: Call Yourself An Engineer

well well well so a university trained “engineer” couldnt fit his own hotpoint brushes

says a lot for his edukashun!

P.S. to be honest I find these sort of prats are few and thankfully far between and most real degree standard engineers are usually keen to learn, pass on technical points and discuss shop with even the oily rags like us
