    Hi,

I have a built-in CDA CW494 that sometimes, just after the final rinse and just before the pump finally empties it, starts beeping and will continue all day if left!

If I open the door when the beeping starts, the machine seems to have finished but is VERY steamy and hot.

Resetting doesn’t seem to work. I have no manual and can’t find help, anywhere.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

    Cheers.

when you open the door, count the flashes between the pauses and that will give you a fault code, let me know how many times it flashes and ill tell you 🙂

It could possibly be an NTC fault or a control board fault on the heater circuit.

    hi

these machines usually come with a 5 year warranty, it may be worth contacting CDA to discuss a repair (labour costs) if it less than 5 years old

I didn’t realish they came with a 5 year GT. Call out your local service agent then and get it done properly 😛

    Thank you both.
Typically, it hasn’t done it for a while now but I’ll look at the flashes.
It was in the house when we bought it but I’d gues it’s less than 5 years old, excellent!

    hi

if you call CDA with all the numbers (from a sticker usually on the kickplate on the bottom of the machine) they will be able to tell you how old the machine is

sorry i dont have a number for CDA

Cheers mate. I looked and the light just flashes continuously, no pauses. What happens is that, even though I select a wash programme, it stops early, beeps and selects the rinse prog.
    Weird!

Oh, it’s about 10 weeks out of gurantee – damn!!!

My CDA494 stops after about 15 minutes and repeates a 4 flash error code. The beep also sounds.

Any ideas on how to reset. Thank you.

    Hi

This fault is either no water or the water flow meter faulty.
