If I wanted to blow the internal hoses off and flood the kitchen then that is one way I would go about it. :rolls: 🙂

Beg to differ on this one, But I use my Pango drain cleaner all the time. Not from the open end of the hose as most machines have non return valves, But from the pump end it works a treat 😆 I mainly use it to clear pressure switch bottles, saves crawling about under the machine and it works especially well with Zanuss,is. You dont have pump it up to it full pressure and the customers are impressed when the waste stand pipe is blocked and you get your big orange gun out and saves her calling a plumber 😉

Participantso iadom and martin you say dont do it unless you want a flood and goosegreen says it works for him if you go about it the right way not even if you use a gentle puff to clear metering tank blockage or sump or pressure chamber blockages are you guys talking from experience just a thought but you always listen to the guys who have been there got wringing wet teashirt to prove it :lesson: 🙂 fasetester

Your first post clearly said, ‘ clear a blockage in a dishwasher’ , not in the outlet pipe or the sink waste pipe. I carry a can of compressed air, the type you buy from computer shops to blow the dust out of your PC. I often use this to clear gunged up Zanussi washing machine pressure chambers. I would not risk using a drain cleaner pressure gun on the internals of a dishwasher.
I have seen several instances of ‘air’ pressure blowing pipes off inlet valves and soap dispensers after the mains water has been turned off and back on again.
