Penguin – Thanks
Clyde – You’re right!
I assume it’s the one I’ve just found next to the motor. It’s white, 3″ long and 1.5″ in diameter with a bolt thread out of the end. Markings:

I have every faith after thinking I’d have to ditch the machine last time. It has been a good servant but if I can keep it going a bit longer it would help especially given post-Christmas credit card bills… 😥
Thanks anyway – now off to have a drink after crawling around the utility room floor for most of the evening. 😉
Cheers

Excellent and good value too. The only problem was that when I was establishing the fault, I knocked open the door whilst it was going so I’ll be ordering some more thermostat bits!!
Thanks again – I’ll get ordering.

Just a quick one to let you know that the new capacitor and thermostat bits arrived promptly and I had no problem fitting them. The machine works perfectly.
Thanks yet again for your money-saving assistance.

I know it’s an old thread but I have a similar model of tumble dryer (Creda 37754 Condenser) serial number 53100217 and the same fault.
My wife called me at work to say the tumble dryer has stopped, there is a smell of burning so she switched it off, I checked it and with a little help the drum moved round therefore replaced the 7uf capacitor and it was all ok again or so I thought 😥
After 2 hours of it going round I noticed it’s not heating up so I take it the problem is the thermostat’s ?
Can someone direct me to the correct thermostat bits for me to buy if that is indeed what you would believe is the problem. Also what panel would be the best to get to in order to replace the thermostat bits, side/rear/top ?
Is this the correct one ?
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tumble+D … t+Kit.htmlI will make sure plug is not only removed from the plug socket but actually removed from the lead to make sure no nasty shocks occur :zap:

Can anyone shed some light on the whereabouts I will find the thermostat bits that I will be replacing on this Creda Condenser Tumble Dryer (37754) ?I want to be ready for when they arrive and would prefer not to take every panel off searching.
Thx in advance.

You’re a repairer? They are adjacent the heater which is at the back!
