ParticipantMy Crusader dryer has been working well for seven years but has recently stopped heating. It is cleaned every day and everything else works ok but there is no heat at all. I’m guessing it’s the element rather than the thermostat. It’s a model 37667 and Espares carry the parts but before I jump I’d be grateful if someone could give me some idea if I might be right.
Thanks.

My more informed guess would venture to suggest otherwise. 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it is the thermostats at fault. 😉

Thanks for that. I didn’t see the 37667 listed. Am I missing it?
Thanks

Could you post the serial number here please, 1701583 only fits your model after a certain date 🙂
Dave.

Thanks, the link Martin gave (1701583) is the right thermostat kit in that case 😀
I don’t put some models in for this reason, people would order the wrong ones as it’s not always obvious which is which when Hotpoint decide to change the spec half way through production 😉

Received the new stats.
I removed the back of the machine to uncover the old stats. One was (?)ceramic as are both of the new ones but the other is black. The ceramic one had fallen apart. Which do I replace with the new ones? Thanks

The stat with the green spot goes on the left.

Machine is working perfectly.

Hello,
I also have this problem with lack of heat. Pulled off the back and one of the stats is dented in. The left stat has a red spot, rather than the green one that cherryvale has.
My serial number is 37660004. Can anyone point me to the right thermo kit?
Also, my sister has a problem with her Hoover Ultracare condeser dryer. The on/off button is broken. The machine works if you hold in the button, but as soon as you remove the pressure on the button it switches off. Essentially the button won’t click on. Again, can someone point me to a suitable replacement switch?
Many thanks in advance!

Hmm, don’t have access to it at the moment. Hoover Ultracare Condenser Large Load is on the front. Will find out this evening.
