I too have fitted thousands of compressors bryan, you dont have the monopoly on it you know. I hzve probably fitted more than you, so there!

Most fridge guys look at a domestic unit and “know” what pot they need. Whether it’s experience, an Ouija board in your head or plain old instinct it rarely seems to go wrong.
So, what’s the problem as long as it works fine and there’s no issue how you do it?
On commercial I would argue there’s a bit more cause to be more accurate but for most domestics I’ve ever come across, as long as you don’t get it too low you’re fine. Although, if you read the commercial guy’s forums they’re just as bad as we are for doing the above.
