I would need the model number to advise normaly starts with an A and 2 other letters then 4 numbers.
If your model has an electronic timer you need to have a time set on the clock for the oven to work.
Check to see if you have a time set any time will do it does not have to be the correct time.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat oven not working
It will most likely be the oven safety cut out stat at the back of the oven.
It is like a small round button size stat with 2 wires going to it.
Check to see if it is open circuit if it is you will need to replace it.
For test purposes only you can join the 2 wires together to see if the oven works.
If it does then fit a new stat. Do not use the oven with the wires together as it is a safety device to prevent overheating.

Hi Bob
I’ve tried joining the wires together but still nothingNovember 18, 2014 at 8:00 am #421594SAMURI
ParticipantRe: Diplomat oven not working
Try joining the 2 wires to the main thermostat to bypass the main thermostat.
Did you check the round button size stat for continuity at the same time

If it is not the safety thermostat TOC or the main stat and a time is set on the timer then it is most likely a timer fault.
The timers a not cheap.

Hi Bob
There is another stat like the one I tried on the back It is situated on the top just behind the clock also with two wires attachedWould i be better to change the thermostat out first? Is there anyway i can test the timer or bypass it altogether
Thanks

that state could be for the cooling fan if it has one , only activates when oven gets hot

I will try joining the 2 wires to the main thermostat to bypass the main thermostat tonight.
I have located the round button size stat and joined the wires together. Not sure what this means Bob for CONTINUITY at the same time

If you joined the wires on the button stat and it did not make any difference the stat may be ok.
To test the stat you just need to check if you have a circuit through it the same as you can check a fuse.
