    think Tubafan may be right

    That cap looks domed at the top

    try replacing it and take it from there

    ok somewhere on it ( not in pics) is the value in uF and a voltage

    will need both to get correct one

    If it’s the same as the board that [USER=”2″]kwatt[/USER] mentioned in post #9 then it’s 3300uF 25V 105C.
    If that’s correct then this should do the job – https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284555204050
    Note the polarity when replacing as these are polarity sensitive.

    Ok many thanks for your advice. Once I’ve tried replacing the capacitor, I’ll post an update.

    Hi all

    Just to confirm that replacing the C1 capacitor has resolved the issue and the cooker hood is now working! ​​​Thank you!

    I’m now left with a Cooker capacitor that I don’t need and I’m unable to return. Is it possible to advertise an item to sell on this forum?

    well if its the same problem you need to look at the board for faulty caps
