went to a job yesterday and was greeted by pat butcher aka pam, very nice lady. jeff shreeves is a regular as well. anyone famous on your patch?

Famous people na cant think of any but have dealt with john major, the queen, stephen fry,roger lloyd pack,amanda holden,liza goddard, rick wakeman is the only ones that spring to top of my mind but will let you know when can think of famous people…

A few while I worked in London and Maidenhead areas.
Rolf Harris, Terry Wogan(may have sold him the fateful dryer about 15 years ago :cry:),Paul Gamberthingy, Howard Jones, Timmy Mallet 😕 , Martin Fry and the singer from Jesus Jones. Nobody famous stays near Preston 😉TC

I used to fix Les Dawsons washer many years ago,he was a true gent and a very funny guy in real life
theres loads round the north west
we visit jim bowens house in the lakes, and we’ve pretty much all been to keith harris samsung fridge freezer
last time we went, he was spray painting cuddles face in the garage.. very funny guy, oh and we been to supersonics house in lytham (syd little)

sold a henry to greg rusedski. and pretty certain we fixed a dw at anthea turners house, but not sure as she wasnt there. but it did look like the pics that were in the paper. yeh yeh not really famous, just well known.
and i was behind damon hill in waitrose getting lunch a couple of years ago. nice chap actually.

I sold a shaver to Noel Edmunds really nice guy, used to sort out tv problems for Michelle Dotrice ( frank spencers missus ) & Edward Woodward. But ive not met anyone else famous recently. One sort of famous guy i respect & had a job interview with was Sim Harris he was hostage in the 1982 iranian embassy siege in london, he quite high up in the BBC & does appear on tv from time to time.
Does’nt Pat Butcher go to the laundrette like the rest of Walford, hope Dot doen’t find out she’s got an automatic now.

We repaired Gordon Burns’ dishwasher a couple of times years ago, and I’ve been to Audrey Roberts and Alan Bradley’s a few times; they’re a married couple.
Got on with them ok until I sold her a new Bosch oven. A few days later she phoned me up at about 7 one evening to say the door had “broken” and was coming off. Tried to explain that it was only the hinges coming out of the supports and I’d go round the next day to put it back on. She was not happy that I wasn’t dropping everything and going straight round. But they didn’t want me the next morning so they must have done it themselves.
