hi silvercody here,u need to post us the fault code that is coming up..if the machine is on & off when filling thats most of the time the obb swicth under your motor controller if replaced just make sure thats u have the yellow wire on the side of it not on the end of it, an other one is rps swicth under the machine that is on the the stator which i think u said u replaced be careful putting that back in it can break easy and make sure it is in there properly also make sure that the other wires next to it r in the right order ( from left to right yellow, blue ,red).the other is the motor controller, but u said that u just replaced it. after finishing any thing that u have replaced i always push on hold start then together push power wait 20 seconds then push power button again.. but the fault code we need..

Thanks Silver and Penguin. I checked all the things you said Silver and they seem to be correct. I think I will get pro help, but I have the weekend to try and fix first. I also tested reed switch and it’s fine also.
New error codes are;
11000001 (slow + hold)
00100000 (med)
11010001 (med + hold)
10010000 (med + slow)
10000000 (med + slow + hold)
10101000 (fast) (flashes between first 2 lights from right)
11010001 (fast + hold)
10010000 (fast + slow)
11111111 (fast + slow + hold)
00000000 (fast + med)
00010000 (fast + med + hold)
01100010 (fast + med + slow)
00101000 (all on)I’m thinking it could be problem with new OOB switch because machine behaves same with the new switch connected or not connected (I took it off again to see what happens with no switch and I just joined wires (yellow and white) together but if did same thing.
Thanks for your time,
Ben.

Thanks for all the replies guys! Repair man cannot do any house calls until Monday so I still been playing with it a little bit.
Today I reinstalled the new rotor pos sensor under the machine. The valves seem to be fine Silver.
Now after I reinstalled the RPS it starts to fill as normal (no more pulsing!!) but the bowl is making a buzzing sound and trying to turn and just vibrating, and then it sometimes jerks and does a half turn etc.
I’m not sure about the wires connecting you mentioned silver. Are they yellow, red, blue (from the left) looking from the outside or the inside or the round thing? Maybe my wires is wrong which is why it’s not spinning?
The error codes is changed as well.
11010100 (slow + hold lit)
00101000 (med lit)The others are all same as last post.
Any ideas Penguin or Silver?
Cheers!

Looking up into the motor, the wiring (from the left) should go Red, Blue, Yellow.
The only coding faults relevant to this thread are those displayed when the “Hold” and “Slow Spin” leds are lit. The code you have listed is not a valid one, so gawd knows what that’s about – unless I read it backwards, which is the classic Out of Balance Switch failure……. That’ll stop your motor for sure. Lots of posts in this forum.
The codes work left to right on the display panel, but need to be supplied right to left …….

ah I had put the wires around the wrong way! 😀
Anyway I put the machine all back together today for the repair man to collect tomorrow. And I just tried decided to try it to make sure I could describe the fault to him correctly and it decided to work! It did a full cycle without any problems… so I decided to put some clothes in and try another one but now it’s playing up again.
I read in another thread about corrosion. My one has corrosion on the outside of the stator, where there are rows of silver metal strips, the rust/corrosion covers over half of some of them. Or is the corrosion that is talked about on a different area? I’m not sure how to describe it. Would that be the possible cause of all problems?
Postion Sensor/OOB/Reed have all been replaced so should not be the cause. Motor controller was also replaced, and I’m assuming that’s what the repair guy will say again tomorrow since that was his original opinion after a quick assessment (he didn’t actually look inside the machine though, just run the diag I assume while he read things out of a book).
Hope you’re all enjoying your weekends!
Cheers,

I know this is a bit old and must have been fixed by now but I will add my experience.
I had a machine that was pulsing the water inlet valves as described above and also if advanced to final spin, would only pulse pump on and off. After a period of this it would beep and turn off. No spin, no wash.
I found a problem on the motor stator.
The stator has a little brass bar that connects three ends of the windings together (star connection), this connector had corrosion on it and was not connecting constantly.
This connector pulls off and can be cleaned and the terminals it pushes into cleaned with the long bristles of a wire brush or something similar. This cured the pulsing problem my machine had. Possibly the Red, Yellow, Blue wires to the stator terminals could suffer loss of connection due to corrosion also.

Hi, I am having the same problem with my smart drive 058 5.5kg washing machine. After fixing a hose the machine pulses on and off every second or so then starts beeping, this also happens with the pump. It was working fine until it got to the rinse cycle. I ran a diagnostic check and I got 10000011. Does this make any sense?
Any help would be great
Cheers

Rotor Postion Sensor (RPS)Error
Numerous threads on this forum related
RPS suffers from corrodded terminals ETC
Would also check for signs of leaking water from the main shaft
Problem can also be related to faulty motor controller -
