OK, anyone want to add Arch to the list? Posted on Martin’s British Gas thread in the Public Forums. This one is blatant and it’s public and it’s rolling on the XML.

KeymasterNope, I don’t think he’s a plant.
I’ll know it when I see it I reckon and this ain’t it.
If you look at his first post and then this one they are consistent with one another which could be a setup of course, but I don’t think so. He uses a Tiscalli mail address and is logged in through a Tiscalli account, BT has it’s own NS servers. 😉

Cheeky fucker…
After spouting off about how good his job is he wants tech help to solve a BG problem.
Wonder what you guys think?

Surely that is a job for British Gas to sort out!!
After all he is the engineer and when he reaches an obstruction, then that is what his managers are there for. (Unless of course he is one, hush my mouth)

This might make some sense for BG
The scenario is that in my area BG engineer goes to customer and can’t fix appliance after 3-4 visits.
Customer gives BG grief and in desperation they swallow all pride and call me knowing that I am going to shaft ( sorry charge ) them £75 plus parts at retail which I make them pay by credit card upfront. Customer is delighted when one of my guys turns up and repairs, BTW when they arrive and find something silly like a wire off or customer instruct I have great delight in letting BG know what they paid for 👿
BG could, when they get a problem with a customer and they can’t sort her appliance use their super new system which is post on the trade forums and use the collective experience here to save them lots of cash.
CYNICAL, no not me 😆

KeymasterNice post Alex. 😉
He may well be doing a homer, but even so it’s a bit much to ask for tech info in here when BG are supposed to be oh so wonderful.
Fuck ’em, I say. 😆

K.Assume you mean my post in direct reply to his posting?
I don’t really want to frighten him off as he could be useful, but I really hope that NOBODY in here gives him the answer. That is why I made an issue out of it.
I’m watching with interest, as with the Brandt thread.

KeymasterYep, that’s what I meant.
Scaring him off, oh well. No great loss if all he’s doing is trying to solve the odd problem that he has and, if in the course of that BG get grief then tough titty.
Yes, the Brandt thing is extremely interesting and I’ll try to get some info out GS on Monday morning first thing. I’ll report back with it in here then if it’s not for public consumption.

Sorry if I’m getting personal with this Wanker. They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and I love a good argument. But to be honest this tosser is not worth my time, but I had to defend myself.
I know one thing, If I had an application from an engineer with his skill levels when it comes to the Queens English, I would not waste his or my time. I feel you need to be a cut above the rest to be a good engineer, he fails miserably the moment he tries to string 2 words together.
I hope B/Gas gets to see the traffic and figure out who he really is, assuming he is a run of the mill engineer.
