That’s why then you’re not listed on Google and therefore immune from muppets posting lousy reviews about you. Once you have a website then it’s open season for trolling reviewers.

if a customer leaves a bad review it means everyone reads it, knock on the customers door and grovel, offer them compensation of £50 anything to get rid, what pi@@es me off is how many people after doing a good job review? its not a true reflection of a business…. a professional reply will help offering to put it right, address their comments and say negative feedback is welcomed as it helps improve and make positive changes(spin), explain what changes have been made…

When enough miffed customers moan it will be. As is generally agreed, only those with a gripe will Google. The happy customers have no reason or incentive to bother themselves which will only highlight the bad ones even more.
As I said earlier, much to be feared about Google reviews especially those of us that rely on our own website for new business. Could end up as a turkey shoot for those that bodge in the wrong oven elements or ponder over flashing LED’s.

I had a bad review on Yell when I was advertising with them.
It was not a customer of mine as far as I could tell, they said we had not turned up on the day and when we did call two days late, our van leaked oil over their drive. My van was three months old and had no oil leaks. they also said they had to wait 3 weeks for a part.
I replied to the comments. Contacted Yell and asked for it to be removed, I was told in no uncertain terms, that if I did not like it I could lump it. My advert was due for renewal a month later, I did not renew it. Strangely I had all sorts of premisses from the rep that he would get it removed when he found out I would not be placing another advert. Only a month earlier he told me it was not in his control.Bad reviews can impact on any business, where is the logic in an advertising company allowing damaging reviews to be wrongly posted, it is wide open for abuse. their job is to promote your business not jeopardise your future advertising, Idiots.

I recently had a bad review on yell ,when in dared to mention to somebody on the phone that I charge for my time ,I contacted yell and told them that to be a customer they would have to use my service not merely make an enquiry and to turn off my review facility ,within 24 hours the facility was turned off and the review vanished Cras

Glad Yell have seen sense, It must have cost them a lot of lost revenue, having a policy that meant anyone could slag you off unjustly. Damaging a business while charging way too much for the privilege.
