Here you go, hopefully it makes sense. Resistance reading between each wire.

one thing that stick out quickly is blue and brown are the same connection being zero ohms

a lot of this is just over pure guess work

the highest reading is between brown / blue and yellow that suggest this is the neutral cable probably the blue with the brown going to cap

the other 4 that stick out are yell red white and grey. with similar resistance that add up as a chain these are you speeds starting yell then red white gray

dont know how many speeds you have

that leaves black as the other side of the cap

bear in mind I cant promise anything is a bit of logic and guess work

have dug around and cant find any tech that gives different motor wiring colours

    Thank you again.

I’ll look into those suggestions this eve. I’ve also asked the motor supplier for a wiring diagram. I’ll update if I get one.

I’ve admitted defeat. Well, I sent photos and info to a local spark and he informed me the motor would not be able to connect up to the switches. So I bought a new motor. Which doesn’t work either.

And now… I think it’s the capacitor that is the broken part (if only I’d checked that first). So I’ve ordered a new capacitor. If that works I’ll send the 2nd new motor back.
