Miller is currently banned from being the director of any company in the United Kingdom until 2014.
In 2002 the Office of Fair Trading instigated the βStop Nowβ order and he became the first person in Britain to be handed one after supplying a kitchen which was not sold as advertised. On 24 May 2007 the Manchester Evening News reported that Vance Miller was on the run in China after evading police officers who had called at his Oldham Mill in order to arrest him over an alleged kidnap
His rap sheet is disturbingly long and varied. Heβs been repeatedly imprisoned, including a two-year stretch for kidnapping; been shot; been tried for gold smuggling. the list is endless but he has built a Β£100m business …March 5, 2009 at 2:10 pm #279059kwatt

And apparently he’s still getting charged with various offenses according to The Oldham Evening Chronicle just last month!
Just ask yourself, do you want to work for someone that’s up on fraud charges never mind the history that this guy appears to have?
I’ll give it a very, very wide berth thanks.

Have only done 1 job for HAS to date a Necht oven & as Andrew said a simple machine, came as part of a package from Rock Solid.
The kitchen quality actualy wasn’t bad at all & the customer said everything was delivered on time & complete.
As for HAS I don’t have any problems dealing with them again, I did the repair, invoiced them & got the cheque by return of post as promised π

Very strange, I know from his E-mails that Andrew is busy trying to get everything up & running, possibly that’s why. yep the crunch is begining to bite but it’s weird, I have had 2 repair estimates turned down this week one for Β£55.00 & one for Β£ 60.00. Both customers have gone out & bought brand new machines, mind you they can pay them weekly but I like mine up front. π

A short while ago I was able to see a large plume of smoke in the sky over Oldham. Reports are that the Maple Mill has gone up in flames.

Still smouldering nicely at 7.15 this morning, a thin cloud of smoke now stopping the sun from shining through and we are five or six miles away. π₯

The rumour in the paper is that the fire started in a diesel generator being used excessively due to the electricity having been cut off due to unpaid bills.
Not much left of it now.

Heads up for another name change, now ‘Kitchen Dreams Direct’ :rolls:
The bit that makes me laugh is where it says ‘he paid Β£965 for what was promised would be superior kitchen’ are some people really that stupid. π₯
PS. You don’t need to answer that question, I think I may know the answer. πJim.

Ovens were absolute rubbish, edges sharp as razors, all cables inside too tight and take any cover off and the whole thing goes out of shape and thats if you could get the screws out as they had been put in so hard that they just turn but don’t extract. Neons used to flicker all the time ,even when the appliance was selected off………..
I don’t slag off many appliances but these were something else….DITTO
