sorry did not look just assumed it was a pump model

still that hole is a drain could mean the valves into the water container may be restricted in some way causing water build up

Yes, I did a quick check by moving the tumble outside onto the patio, removed the condenser, the water container and the water container valve – I then ran a house into the drop-hole and let the water run through it in a hope it may dislodge anything blocking it, the water ran through ok but the drop-hole does seem to hold water in there even with the container and valve disconnected – not sure if blockage or by design. The position of it is tricky to diagnose – i took the below picture with my phone by sticking my hand into the condenser section – it seems if i can manage it, i could unscrew this as it has two screws either end holding it in place – what part is this out of interest?
