    My tv630 is also causing me the same problems, the only problem is I’m not so electronically minded as yourselves, what do you recomend that I do?

    Ally, if your not confident to tackle this, please call an engineer.

    Have a look at repairs@ and the directories for one in your area 🙂

    A word of WARNING with regard to the heating element on the TV630.

    If on inspection of the heating element you have the older style element (This can be identified by the cardboard surrounding the element) and which effects machines 15 months or older.

    Then you will require the new style heating element (The one with ceramic) or HM1.

    This has been a safety issue with Hoover Candy as some models were prone to catching fire. and when i was working for them all TV630 models had to be inspected

    I have just discovered the problem however the values on the thermal fuse is illegible – does anybody have any idea what the values/temp is for this?

    Replacing the microtemp is NOT recommended, but to answer your question = 219 degrees
