It is a drain sieve and if you email Dave at this address : spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk he can quote you a price and availability.

    Nope – another strike-out I think.
Got the cover off the impeller and apart from a few bits of floatage, nothing at all preventing it from moving.
The impeller itself moves – it seems to be on a ‘weighted’ motor – ie move it a little, get resistance – go a bit further and momentum takes it to the next position. As it keeps doing that I’m assuming that’s normal.
Put it back together (again!) and no change to the resultant cycle – reset, turn off, turn back on to any cycle, washer fills the bottom with water then stops…

beginning to think something somewhere has to be terminal…
    🙁

Fills then stops would indicate the main circulation pump has seized. Especially so if you have been running it without a drain sieve. Add to that a drain pump problem and it’s looking costly for sure. 🙁

    OK.
    Admitted defeat.
Can’t afford to waste any more time on the darned thing so new one arriving Friday.

    Thanks for the help anyway.
