cheers jim, yeah fine im just miffed by the stat neon going out and no voltage at the stat tags , i just need to trace the power path until i find the place it stops , i have a wiring diagram so thats a start cheers

Dodgy connection somewhere. Have you checked tags on mains inlet connector? Could even be further back – wall connector, plug and socket (!), wall switch…

i could barely get access to the bloody thing 2 foot of mains cable just about came out to the edge of the cabinets , couldnt get at the back panel screws , need to have a helper when i go back will give it the once over next week thanks Graham
