cant think of anything else. could also be a board problem and that’s a hotpoint fit only part unless you buy all the programming gear

unit should be covered by a 5 year part warranty (you would have to check) then parts are free all you pay is their labour

Thanks Dave,
I decided to bin it. It’s not worth fixing. Id fix it myself if it was obvious which part it was. Hotpoint had various options to fix it, mostly they wanted me to pay a monthly fee otherwise nothings guarantee’d to fix it, which wasn’t worth it. So i’m not going to buy a new dishwasher either and now have an extra cupboard.

In case someone else is following this thread and wants to buy the above non-return flap (valve) it is called – Flap for Set Sump. Part numbers C00257097 / J00227710 . just check it’s the right one for your washer.

Ive got one on order so I haven’t attempted to replace it yet – but hopefully it will work. I will report back if successful

Registered especially to say as per RedPegLeg the above that part (J00227710) arrived and fixed the F15 drain issue on my Hotpoint. The flap seemed ok but the seal around had dissolved when compared to replacement.

One trick I noticed while waiting for it to arrive is if you put the dishwasher up on say bricks and have the drain hose coming out and down lower than the unit that sort of got around the F15 issue as it was draining away from the flap and sensor. 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it worked 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time.
