    I would suggest that you substitute the green thermistor again, this controls the fan if I remember right. You state that you pushed a piece of wire down the right hand side vent tube but did you check the tube on the right hand side?. As my collegue states the PCBs are fairly reliable and when they go generally your motor doesn’t run.

    OK – but both the existing and the new green thermistor are both reading around 3.1K at room temperature. I thought that this was about right ?

    How else can I check this out – what about putting a (lower ?) resistor across the green terminals – or even shorting out across the terminals ?
