I replaced the thermostats on our TDC62 a couple of weeks ago with a kit from UKwhitegoods when it stopped heating and it fixed the problem. However, the same problem has come back and the green spot “one shot” thermostat appears to have gone again. Do you know of an underlying problem that might cause this or is it just bad luck?

Biggest problem is as said above a blocked condensor, pull it out and flush it through with a shower head so you can see one end to the other.
Another big problem is the duct behind the door being blocked.
Take the door filter out and look down into the hole it is probaly blocked with dust use something to push it out the bottom i sometimes use a wire coat hangar.

also needs a megger ckeck on heater, if it is down to earth, the cycle stat os on neutral side so an earth fault can still supply the heater (esp on a PME supply) causing the one shot (on the live supply) to go

    Hello again,
I seem to recall a post somewhere mentioning both the Active and Drying lights being lit on the short reverse cycle as an indicator of the control module not working. Is this the case?
    Thanks again

If the drying neon stays on during the short reverse tumble then that is almost aways caused by a faulty dryness module relay.
