No pics but yesterday on a Hoover WD (HW140 M maybe) I cleaned the filter and found a 18″ long piece of heavy duty link chain 8O. I think at one point it had been a belt.
How can anyone ignore that kind of noise as it makes its way through.
    The public eh :rolls:

Blame enonomy7. People put things on overnight and never hear the noise. The amount of times I’ve been to WM’s with bearings that sound like a worn out steam roller but the customer has never ‘heard’ a noise is amazing!

I never put anything on and go to bed.. nor go out.. i know the idea of AUTO’S was so u can put it on and leave it to it… something major happens it could cost u as much as your house ( as in burning down ).
Same applies to holidays and the leaving their machines turned on at the water … could possibly come back to their very own indoor swimming pool.

I had one with a large chain dog lead wrapped around a seriously damaged heater and mangled inner drum once, they had just slung the dog blankets in without checking. :rolls:

best ones are the condoms in the pumps, especially when the lady of the house has been on the pill for years 😛 😛 😛
love advising them they’re one use only and should not be washed and reused 😉 😉 😉

Must admit my favourite bit of debris from a pump was a ‘brand new’ machine from Currys bought by a husband while his wife was away.
I pulled a pair of ‘BIG’ nickers from the pump just as his wife came home. Cue very red faced husband squirming, denying all knowledge and threatening to sue Currys.
Never did find out the outcome of that one.

i was training at hotpoint with a senior engineer and we removed bra wire from wma. did the clear down on the emit, woman says, “this isnt my bra wire” my breasts arent that big”, she proceeded to place said bra wire underneath respective knocker, the engineer said ” your husband will have a lot of explaining to do, then.

she was not a happy lady, poor thing.
he was either playing away or he was a sissy weirdo.

Had a woman bring a iron in to the shop in a carrier bag for repair once… when i opened the bag after she left there was a sanitary towel ( USED ) inside another bag within the bag, Didn’t tell her upon return to collect for fear of seeing her total embarresment.
However i felt sick to the core…luckily it was within another bag otherwise i wouldnt of touched the iron.

I rememeber having to rummage around a sump hose looking for a small key that had found it’s way into the drum (WFF2001GB) only to find a horrible load of sludge blocking the hose – you can imagine my disgust when the lady of the house said “I’ll apologise now for my husbands incontinance” I was rummaging around in SH*T !!! Makes me shudder even now & that was 6 years ago !!! 👿

Had a strange one a few years back, old hpt washer/dryer. The drum was stuck solid, wouldn’t budge an inch so when i took it all apart i was shock to find that the culprit was one of the lady’s lacy knickers, it had wrap it’s self round the spider and seal. never thought so little fabric could to do that.

i remember pulling a lovely gold ring out of the filter on a hoover logic 1100, i passed it to the man of the house and he explained that it was his other halfs engagement ring, he called her into the kitchen to say he had found it only to find that she was wearing an identical ring on her finger….
apparantly she thought she had lost it and went out to buy herself another one

i also had to remove a pair of knickers from a lady’s machine that belonged to her 16 year old daughter, that daughter is now a mega hollywood star.. if i had known then what i know know i would have kept them to put them on ebay, i would have mad a fotune 🙂
