Sorry Clive,
You must think you’re talking to a complete idiot. I woke up in the middle of the night, and it clicked LHS = Left side panel.
In my defence, I did say I’d had a drink (2 glasses of wine), but that doesn’t really make up for being so stupid.
I shouldn’t really have replied last night, but as you were being so helpful, I had to ask questions whilst you were there. I thought that I’d engaged my brain before speaking, but it must have been in the wrong gear.
No prizes for guessing what I’ll be doing today.
Cheers Bri

Hi Chaps, Idiot here.
I have now removed the famous lhs, its very interesting, far more in there than I expected.
I’ve found a float, But I can’t work out what it does though, it doesn’t activate any switches, and no water is going anywhere near it. The good news is i can move freely.
With the lhs off, there is a plastic box with hoses connected to various chambers. Starting at the rear I have.
A thick black hose, that goes direct from under the machine to the top arm.
A black hose from an inlet valve to the rear chamber of the plasic box inside. This seems to be the main water inlet.
Another black hose, from a 2nd inlet valve to the next chamber in the plastic box (This doesn’t seem to be doing anything).
Then there is a 3rd black hose, which goes down to the sump area, on its way, it has a smaller hose spur off it. both go to the sump area. I think this is the water feed to the machine from the chambers
Finally there is a clear from a lower chamber, that again goes to the sump area.
I’ve not yet checked the hoses for blockages, as they have what looks like a once use clips holding them on, So I’m going to have to find some jubilee clips the reattach them.
I’ve need to understand what all the hoses are supposed to do, in order to tell what’s not working correctly.
Is there a float, pressure switch or something in the base somewhere, that controls the water level. Because nothing I’ve seen today is controlling it, which means it would just continuously fill.
Can any of the lower workings be access from inside the machine, or is it all from underneath. Really I need to take it outside & play, but its a wee bit damp here today.
Thanks again

Part 2 to last mesage.
The float that I found, turned out to be attached to the salt flow control. we’ve never had to add salt here.
So I think water level must be either controled by a timer, or by a float or pressure switch in the base somewhere.

Hi, I’m new and very late on this post, but I have the exact same problem.
I can’t find the float. I’ve had the LHS off – nothing there. And all the stuff that unscrews from inside, although nothing is high enough to house a float. Is it actually a pressure switch? Or indeed a flow meter (seems unlikely) at this age.
Any help appreciated 🙂
