KeymasterNo DASA do not “own” copyright on anything there as such other than any official statements, not that ti’s really a concern anyway given that it’s not exactly as if there’s anything life or death in there. TBH the page views within that forum haven’t really risen either so no-one’s bothering to look at it, including those that do have access.
I think that kind of puts the usefullness of it into perspective.

No, there’s no “right” of ownership to the posts, I just thought DASA may want them copied over to their own website as once they’re gone, they’re gone forever, merely a jesture… 😕

Okay, we now have the AC forum and we also have this forum which I hope only we know about to discuss stuff.
The AC is it’s own entity and it calls the shots in any matters thrown to it, end of story. It has to remain independent and neutral to have any credibility at all and the concept would be a waste of time where it any other way.
I agree with Chris, the Pat UK thing should be tossed to the AC to discuss and deal with in conjunction with the subscribers. All the AC are smart enough to get on with that on their own.
I also think that the AC should hold ultimate responsibility for the subscriber funds as well. Then there’s no calls of the funds being misappropriated or misused. In this way there is a direct link between the subscribers and the AC as well as giving the body a bit of leeway to act where required and a bit of budget to operate from if required.
Anyway, there’s the thoughts off the top of my head and, of course, any of the ideas can be tossed about in here so we can get a feel for direction in private as we always seem to come up with good plans and ideas when we’re all talking.

ParticipantI would not trust anyoe who just quoted a mobile no. I think you must stipulate a landline.
I would have thought you could dump the DASA section . Has anyone viewed it lately ?

I agree that the DASA forum is no longer required it was put there as a guesture of good will when DASA did not have access to it’s own site
for reasons that only it’s former director can explain. The new DASA site is up and running so the need no longer exists.
the only thing i would suggest is that we archive the contents of the forum before it is removed, should they require it.Del

So, as a month has passed since the agreement, can it now be deleted ?

The total lack of interest by Dasa or anyone else in the forum is evidence enough to suggest you should not wait for an answer Dave. Just do it.

Conversely, does DASA have a link to this site? I had to ask as I’m no longer a member and am unable to see for myself.
Personally I don’t see the point in the DASA link any more. It isn’t as we are related. However I wouldn’t like to sever ties as I would like to see us work side by side when it is applicable.

I see no problem with leaving the links as they are, it was only the forum that we were to remove.
It allows a bit more space and it never gets used.
Email away to DASA tonight informing them of the decision formally, if we don’t get a response by next weekend it will go 😀
