the heater is mounted at the back of the drum to heat the water during the washing cycle. sometimes earth faults on the heater can affect the timer so disconnecting it while testing can eliminate this

I haven’t found the heater yet, looking for a diagram.

I noticed some rat pellets around the board (another thing you have to think about with electrix in Uganda!) so I pulled the board, cleaned some suspicious looking stains with a QTip and rubbing alcohol and put it back. I ran 2 full cycles successfully, and then it faulted on the 3rd at the same point in the process. It’s like the pump was laboring to get the last big of water out, and when I pulled the filter and the extra water came out the pulsing stopped… Is it worth replacing the drain pump?

the pump works till it starts to pump air. then the water thats in the outlet hose falls back down, the pump then pushes it back up the hose and so it contnues. as this happens the outlet hose will pulsate with the water starting and stopping. its normal unless it does it when there is water still in the drum
