ParticipantWhat are the general reasons that an Indesit D61 would leak & make anti flood switch operate ? (No, its not mine … I know better than that !)

Moved to Trade Forum 😀Where do you start
1/ 3,4 or 5in1 being used in conjunction with rinse aid
2/ Not rinsing plates and debris clogging pressure system
3/ Moon in line with saturn 😉
4/ They are crap 😀 and repeat till 10Greg

pretty ovious, but often overlooked…
check collar under lower spray arm….
every one i go you can at lease get a half turn on them…

I often wonder this, why do dishwashers have all this leak and flood protection on them? Lets face it, 8 out of 10 calls I/we do are due to tripped anti flood devices on dishwashers. It must cost the maufacturers a bomb during the warranty period, so, why? When the same manufacturer makes laundry washing appliances that can happily leak and flood all day and all night. In this time of cost cutting, why dont the low end makers just remove the drip tray and float and save themselves a fortune in not only the parts involved but the service failure costs as well.
