The condenser is the metal monobloc which you pull out and clean regularly. Water collects under it and runs to the back. The hole in the collection chamber joins to the moulding right at the back. Helo is (rightly) suggesting that you reach in and scrape out any fluff manually – as well as poking the hole through.

gave the condenser a good clean and we re poke the inlet, can’t feel anything up behind the condenser apart from plastic housing and a warmish metal pipe!

ignore that left the paper clip through from outside, found it in side and pulled it through, cleaning small gap at the bottom!
thanks guys, all should hopefully work now 🙂
big saver, can get a shirt ready for work and t-shirt that doesn’t smell now!

Sorry to jump on someone else’s thread here but I have a very similar problem and have followed many of the steps mentioned here.
I have an indesit 1570s condenser dryer. A little while ago we realised that it was not getting hot so I replaced the heating element which now clearly works.
However, we’re not getting any water collecting in the removable drawer / reservoir. I’ve cleaned the condenser several times and have put my hand right to the back to check there’s no fluff blockage at the back. I’ve also checked that the pump is working. It is but it runs dry most of the time as no water gets to that part of the machine.
I’ve cleared fluff from anywhere else obvious. The drum does get hot and things do dry but it takes ages and there is no water collecting anywhere.
Can anyone suggest what else I can do?
many thanks
