    Oh! I almost forgot, to ask wizzer_x if he has reported this incident directly to Indesit or maybe the local press, local TV channel maybe?

    I have spoken to Indesit today, they have agreed to replace washing machine and compensate for damage caused. Very helpful customer services lady on the phone who seemed genuinely concerned, and eager to get our machine back so that they can look at what has gone wrong with it.

    Yes mate I bet they want it back, i would still let papers know to warn others.

    My Indesit washing machine exploded last night – and looks similar to the pictures posted on this site. I have called Indesit today who did not admit they had a manufacturer fault. They were very keen to take my washer away and replace with a new one. The whole safety issue of this fault has alarmed me – has anyone any advice about how they dealt with Indesit on this matter.

    im still amazed at the fact watchdog havent jumped all over this yet

    theres some pretty disturbing pictures out there

    Wonder how long before someone gets injured? hate to think what would happen to a child in front of 1 as it explodes.

    I have logged the incident with Watchdog. I have also spoken again to Indesit who said they cannot comment on other individual cases!!!!

    That exactly what i was thinking, a child could easily be blinded or injured quite badly if just a small piece of something came flying off, doesnt bear thinking about!!

    I didnt think much of them before but the Indesh!t name is particularly appropiate for this!!

    Well done Billy412 for logging this with Watchdog, lets hope they get on to it asap!

    PS – I just remembered a post on here, saying that a 18 month old was playing with the buttons on their washer before it went wrong, just imagine what couldve happened here in that situation. Makes me feel sick just thinking about it tbh :(. Shame on Indesit for not sorting this before something really bad happens 👿
