I think that may be the best solution to be honest 😉

In your last photo, what is that white plastic looking strip behind the top impellor blade I wonder???

I think that is just the camera flash reflecting off drips of water within the unit. 😕
I’m going to try your Repairs@ service methinks.

What on earth is that four legged thing? Its making my neck ache trying to view it the right way round, it could be part of the moulding of the pump housing, but I don’t think it should be there.
There still appears to be something black behind the impellor, unless it is a shadow, or possibly the water residue.
Edit. 😳
Have you tried running the pump without water and with the filter removed?

A reflection of the impellor I think 😉

😳 now I have turned it the right way up and had a closer look I fear you could be right Dave. still worth trying the pump without the filter and no water though.

I just had someone round to have a look… and it worked straight away for him! 😕 The only thing he did differently was to start the machine on a normal cycle before attempting to drain.
It is definitely more noisy than the old pump, though. 😐
