No action on this for a few days as I was away. Fitted new pressure switch with new board and all seems well. Maybe that’s all that was needed……

Yup, the fault has returned after 3 years. Am thinking of trying a new pressure switch first – but if the board IS faulty, will it just blow the new switch straightaway?

If you have somehow managed to drag another three years out of it I would be inclined to think I had been extremely lucky and would be looking for something better. 😉

Wise words, I am sure, but I don’t like to be beaten. I have commercial washing machines that are aged 30 years+ and earn me money on a daily basis so if there’s a chance a £15-30 level switch will cure it I’ll take that option. However, if you et al tell me that a faulty board will definately blow a new switch then I might buy a cheap new machine for this flat which is only occasionally used.

The pcb will not damage a pressure switch.
