    And in case it helps with wattage identification, the resistor is 8.5mm * 3.65mm. The 3watt ones I have found so far are way larger.

    its unusual to be that low but if the 3rd colour is black and not brown then yes it is

    its also a fusible resistor

    Replacement IC and resistor fitted today. No joy unfortunately. I guess I fried more on the board than I have been able to identify with my limited skills 🙁

    possibly yes
    i would be measuring the output voltages and input voltages of the circuit

    input voltages on the input caps around 300v dc ( be careful dangerous )

    out put voltages on low volt caps judging by relays will be around 12v DC

    Sadly that’s outside of my comfort zone. Dealing with live boards plugged in to the mains is a bit too much for me.

    New board ordered. Such a pain all caused by one daft mistake of not turning it off when moving the control board to put things back together. Not sure which deity I had displeased for this one
