TBH when it’s commercial especially it’s the best thing to do. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

What would you be invoicing them for?
The customer cleans the filter so what more can the customer do?
There must be something wrong with the door/filter. It reads as the problem has only just developed. Its been in use for more than a year before the problem developed.

A wash under the tap is usually the best method. I have never come across this fluff on fan fault though…. and that filter and door arrangement has been adround for years AFAIK un alterered.
^^ That Tim.
As Mark rightly points out the filter can still be blocked even when the fluff isn’t there. We’ve had a couple like that in the hotels now where they also do a lot of towelling.
It’s a very fine filter in these dryers and I always say to people to give them a really good clean or they may well still be blocked. It’s good that they filter out a lot of the dust etc. but this is the downside of that, you can’t have your cake and eat it basically.
Essentially the fine filter, where it’s a lot of towelling being dried, gets choked up with skin flakes off the towels. There’s a lovely thought to be carrying about in your head for the rest of the day. 😆

Assuming Goatboy has now washed the filter time will tell.
I guess they haven’t washed the filter for as long as they have had the drier so do these skin flakes take that long to build up?
Who wants my tuna sandwiches?

Probably. It will likely happen on the normal domestic ones after a few years use.
It’s quite horrific actually when you get as being “dust” in a dryer but, let me put it this way, most of the dust in your house will be skin flakes as we shed a horrendous amount of the things, especially from the scalp. We see it visibly as dandruff but the smaller ones off the rest of your body you don’t see.
Now, consider that this is in a hairdressers place and it’s not hard to work out that there’s gonna be a lot of “dust” in there. 😉
You get these skin flakes and a lot of grease, sweat and a whole load of other nasty body bits on all clothing and that leads to all sorts of issues with washers and dryers.
It’s all good fun trying to explain to customers that there’s stuff on their “clean” clothes that they can’t see.
You all make sure you enjoy your day pulling that ***t out machines! Anyone want to buy some latex work gloves? 😆

Aye, I’ve give the filter a good wash, and haven’t heard anything from the customer since (2 week).

Occasionally, but I like to find out stuff that’s not been beamed into your house just to muck you up! 😆
