Sorry for being a bit invisible at the moment Steve, I’ve been beavering behind the scenes trying to get machines and parts ordered months ago into our warehouse.
This should all ease this week with the 10s arriving tomorrow (PLEASE!!!!) and 36 boxes of Vestel spares that Sean ordered start of September finally arrived last Friday.
The reason the machines ended up in Iceland is because container ships for unloading in the UK are held until there slot for unloading is available. This is because it takes 8 – 10 hours to unload ships of this size, so when a slot is missed due to bad weather or shipping incompetance the ship docks somewhere else and waits. That why when we had high winds in the spring our container of 5s ended up spending a week in Rotterdam waiting to get into Felixstowe and why our 10s ended up in Iceland waiting for a slot in Hull.
