    They use the bpm motor on the higher end machines as it has a soft start They have been in use for at least a couple of years

    Ive done one of these. Out of warranty. It pulled the plug out of the motor.
    Oddly enogh im doing a ctd80 tomorrow after recall done and fitting the new white wheel.

    Gone as far as I can, but the machine is still available at Tesco. Like you said it’s probably just for the large load stuff.

    Digging further it is based on the Aqualtis dryer range, pulleys different to the early dodgy ones as far as I can see. 🙂

    Again a bit OT but found another bit of info that may be useful, it appears there is a kit to repair the drum shafts on the riveted drums now.

    Do you need drill dremel grinder. Never done one

    That kit has been around for a while and I have fitted quite a few, you just use a 6mm drill bit to drill out the 6 rivets and bolt the new shaft on, easy job with no grinder required.

    Yeah, done a few as there all pressed on now. Bit more fiddly than the three screw version, but straight forward.
