Hi,
I managed to order the PCB from Liebherr with a couple of white lies 🙂 It arrived first thing this morning and was fitted by 10am.
My block of ice in the freezer started to cool from its regular -10 downwards and I thought our problems were solved… It got as far as -14 but since then it has hovered about -11/-10. The ice cream is still not solid 🙁
The dial is on 5 out of 7 in the fridge and it sits between 3 and 5 degrees. The fan spins and I haven’t heard it pulsing all day.Help!!

hello chris, reading this again has me wondering if you’ve fully defrosted the freezer before starting it again.
the small pcb you changed controls everything and so the evaporator if the freezer may not have been having a defrost.
if this is the case, then just changing the pcb wouldn’t have had much immediate effect.
you’ll have to fully defrost the freezer too.
turn off, leave the door open for a good long while. maybe 24-36 hours to be certain and then switch back on again.July 11, 2013 at 6:11 am #396926JamboChris

Hi again!
I took the cover off the fan before defrosting and there was a large build up of ice on the pipes and evaporator. The freezer was left for a day and had fully defrosted. So far so good. The fridge dial is now on 4 out of 7 and the fridge stays between 3 and 5 degrees. The freezer lies between -21 and -25 (does that sound okay?)
It sounds like the fan is running for longer/faster as previously when you opened the freezer door the fan stopped immediately. Now when you open the door, the motor stops but you can still see it spinning as it comes to a stop.
Thanks ELDAR59 for your help  with this saga and fingers crossed that is the end of my freezer woes. 🙂
Chris
