Hi Push,
There is no air sensor attached to the rear panel, there is a fixing for one but the panel is generic for use in models with a sensor.
The ice build up can not be just removed by scraping it off the rear panel.
There is a cooling coil behind that will need defrosting completely and the drainage hole checking for any blockage.
