ParticipantI’m new to this forum so apologies for any mistakes here.
I’m looking for instructions on how to remove the ice tray for the above freezer. Seemingly a cog has gone which is preventing the ice tray from returning to the fill position. I’ve seen instructions on changing the tray but not on getting it out! The unit is a combined bio fresh fridge and freezer with a standard side by side fridge and overall, which I’m pleased with overall. Grateful for any help or pointers to where I would find it.
Many thanksJune 14, 2013 at 9:51 pm #396377admin

Hi
The ice maker comes as a complete unit and there are 2 different ones. Can you supply the service number for your FREEZER unit.

Hi
The following is a drawing of the parts. which part do you require,Sometimes they can come separately
There is a clips that is on the side that needs to be undone to allow removal.

Thanks for the pic, unfortunately, I don’t know what I need until I get the unit out. What, where and how are the clips attached? Are they just clips and pop off? If I can get it out, are you able to supply the parts?
Thanks for your help with this.June 26, 2013 at 8:13 pm #396382ELDAR59

hello, the thing to check here is if the icemaker tray hasn’t returned to it’s correct position because it’s come out of it’s holder or is broken, or because the motor that turns the tray hasn’t returned to it’s correct position.
if the icemaker tray is broken, then you need part number 9590475. this is by far the most likely scenario.cheers.

That’s useful, I think that is the problem, ice tray not completely returning to its correct position, it angles to drop the ice and then continually clunks. I can push the tray up to its fully inverted position, and then it returns after making a single clunk whereupon it takes in water and works till the next time it wants to drop ice. So i’m sure that you right.
But I don’t know how/what/where the clips are to remove the ice unit, which, once I have, then I guess he fault will be apparent. Can anyone help with these clips please?

hello, if you remove the ice bin and the shelf below it, that will enable you to look up underneath the icemaker.
you should be able to see two small lugs, one either side of the icemaker holder.
if you depress these whilst at the same time pulling the icemaker unit towards the front of the machine, this will allow removal.
once removed, the cause of the fault will be obvious.cheers.

Hi! I’m having the same problem. I have replacement part 9590475-02A but don’t see any ‘clips’ when I remove the ice bin and the shelf below it. I see the tray inside the housing unit but don’t know how to remove the existing maker to replace it. Does anyone have a picture with the ‘clips’ I am supposed to ‘press’? Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

Eldar59,
I’m attaching a picture of my ice maker assembly. I called Liebherr, and the gentleman said to take a screwdriver and push up on the middle left and right sides. I’ve tried that and can see a ‘lever’ but nothing happens. He says this will release it, and it will move forward. I’m wondering if I’m pushing up on the left and right sides in the front of the lever and should be pushing up behind the lever? Not sure but nothing is moving.Any help is sincerely appreciated!
Thanks,

hi steph, you should be pushing up a clip on both sides that will alow the icemaker to be pulled forwards.
this clip is on the outside of the unit and level with the black cable as shown in your first pic. -
