Hello Eldar59, yes it is not the read switch, this also triggers the led door light which I only noticed after tested it with a meter. It could possibly be the air sensor as well as this needs to differ by 2k ohms warmer before fan switches on. I notice that both air and evaporator sensors ohms to temperature are the same. So although the part code is different I must be able to use either sensor in either position? Is it normal to run the sensor down to the pcb board or cut it up by the fan join and heat shrink?

From memory the part number is the same now and it’s 9590148. The sensors are cut and joined, using heat shrink.

Hello eldar59,
I received 2 sensors today, I removed the evaporator sensor and measured ohms at room temperature, I got 5.6k ohms. So I did the same with air sensor and got 5.43k ohms. The two new sensors measured 5.47 and 5.52 so little difference. Both old sensors dropped to 4k ish when held in warm hand, so appear to be working ok.I have not fitted the new sensors yet but will do, not expecting the problem to be resolved.
Any further suggestions would be welcome. Many thanks,

Hello all, if anyone is reading this after I fitted the two sensors, the freezer now works perfectly. Problem solved despite both sensors appearing ok when tested at room temperature, they must give incorrect ohms reading at lower temperature. Advice to anyone reading, change both sensors together as you can’t guess which one can be faulty. Also use a fridge magnet on the door sensor to test the fan is working when the door is open, you will see the door light go out at the same time.
Thanks to eldar59 for his advice.
