I know someone who uses Almat and they don’t complain of any damage to their machine and they have had it for a 4 or 5 years.
Ive always stuck to Persil myself. Liquid for colours and the non bio powder as don’t like the smell of the bio powder.

It depends on dosage, temperature and water hardness. The very soft water in this area combined with over dosing and constant low temperatures rots the drum supports on most machines, liquids are worse than powders. The damage is not visible from outside either. You only know its happened when you get a loud banging or the inner drum starts rubbing against the door seal.
Changed a snapped drum support just this afternoon.
