ParticipantI guess all of us in here are, or were NESN members, whether on stop or not.
Did we all recieve the mail this week about some apparent glitch in the system where calls were rejected by incorrect date completed or incorrect repaired date. To rectify this the most recent system update must be run ASAP, which, if you’re anything like me and wishing to avoid any rejections (given the current situation) did so that day.
WELL FUCK ME, what do I recieve tonight ? 15 rejections, 12 of which are the biggest payer (DSG Installs) an ammount not far short of £700 😡
This is by far and away the biggest scam I have ever seen NESN play, deliberate postponement of payments for one month at least by rejecting the highest labour rate calls with no spares involved. It will save them fucking thousands across the country. To think we are stupid enough to believe their IT guys, if you don’t run the update, the calls will be rejected, what an absolute fucking joke ❗
Needless to say they are on stop with immidiete effect, notice will be given when the time is correct (Kev give me a bell on Monday please, regarding your get-out idea).
To say I am pissed off at their total disregard for our integrity and intelligence is beyond belief.

KeymasterFFS! That is a joke, a total joke!
Christ, with sentiment the way its running right now that means there’s going to be a lot of people that will not be very happy over the next few days. If people were not happy before this they sure as hell ain’t gonna be impressed with having loads of work rejected again as this isn’t the first time this sorta shit has happened with NESN.
Not good, not good at all.

KeymasterMassive rejections, you must be flavour of the month. I ve got 51. 6 I could possibly put down to our errors. The other 45 no chance all were rejected because of completion date 26/08/2003. Like you I always do updates as soon as they are received. Whats there excuse now just another reason to withhold monies due for work done. Bet they still invoice the clients and hold onto the money for an extra 30 days. I ve heard of creative accounting but this is blody ridiculous.
Was that pissed off my head went straight above the parapit,, my letter has already gone in by email asking for full explanations. Mark thinks the tone of the letter is a bit too sarcastic we ll see.
None of us can afford to fund the NESN wage bill we have our own lively hoods to look after and all our own employees. We are the stupid buggers doing all the hard work.August 30, 2003 at 8:28 pm #104811Flipper
ParticipantLets look at the facts.
Xmas last year NESN’s bankers stuffed them on their o/d facility ( did some of us people buy shares). Nice cash injection/cashflow clawback.
Promises of factoring after the Feb VAT fiasco 50 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} payments etc. No 100 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} payments on Non Coverplan payments this year, and now an other VAT payment period and 60 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} payment.
E- mails that are blatent lies received in the fortnight after this and nobdy at all at NESN having a clue as to what amounts are being paid and when there being paid.
In the mean time new accountant employed, but loads of staff taking redundancy or being made redundant.
Lots of debit notes being raised with the hope that people don’t chase them, more cashflow improvement.
Now this sneaky trick with IT.
This new accountant seems to be clued up on the tricks of the trade ( money trade).
Could he be NESN’S SAVIOUR! LOL and PMP (pissed my pants).
I have have it on good authority I am militant because I put NESN on stop this month. But I only did what they do to clients every month. I also have put other work providers on stop in the not to distant past and they still use us. JT has got my area covered for when I resign or get chucked out, I pity the poor bastards.August 30, 2003 at 8:34 pm #104812Flipper

I havn’t got a crystal ball but if you look back to PESN.
Payments got worse, excuses everymonth -Cheques need 2 signatures now, sent cheque last week havn’t you got it yet, Auditors are in ,systems down. Look what happened, luckily we got out early and only lost £400. I think I and a lot of you can see whats coming and its going to be big.August 30, 2003 at 8:42 pm #104813kwatt
KeymasterYou don’t NEED a crystal ball (reputedly I have two and neither is crystal 😉 ) to see what’s happening here. They are on the way out and it’s gonna happen soon, TBH I wouldn’t even give them till Xmas before they’re a memory and no-one’s gonna buy it cause it’s worthless, just like PESN.
The only thing I’m worried about in it is the poor bastards out there that are about to get royally reamed because of them and because they don’t see what’s coming.

KeymasterNot another one as well? 😉
I thought, “why are they offering these?” then thought “why don’t the directors put some more money in?” then thought about all the partial payments, rejections etc. and thought it better not to get involved. Especially when I asked Darren outright what it was for and got a flannel job.

ParticipantLong story but no doubt we will discuss face to face sooner or later. It’s a big IF ,but IF they survive could prove useful in the future??????

I nearly did the same on Friday, but I wanted some time to consider several other points I have as well. Yes this includes shares, and no I don’t have more money than sense Mark 😉
The number of rejections comes down to the number of calls I guess, probably just a percentage thing if accountants have anything to do with it, but I guess they were like mine, mostly DSG installations.
I have this morning sent an email to Jo Loach informing them of my decision to put them on stop and why, which is not only the recent rejections but recent payment irregularies are also high up there.

ParticipantI have been waiting for a payment of about 20k from NESN, when I checked my bank account a payment for 4k had been made!
When I contacted the accounts dept I was told that they had settled my Willow Vale account in full on my behalf 12.5k!
I gave no authorisation for that transaction and I am bloody fuming that they can spend my money without my authorisation!
Have any other members had similar treatment?

KeymasterThat’s not just naughty, that’s bang right out of order!
They did the same to us with MFI one month as well as I refused to pay the account since they rejected/deffered payment on a load of MFI calls that the account related to.

ParticipantPhil, that is horrific and most likely illegal as well.
They have never tried to pull a stunt on me like that, but if they ever had they would have been a distant memory, which I’m pleased to say will soon be the case after the recent fiasco.
