    Re: Masterpart

I’m not saying that everyone does Mark but, I’ve seen more than a few over the years that have and it’s been costing then a small fortune.

Just ’cause you’re smart enough not to fall into the “it’s easier” trap doesn’t mean any number of other people haven’t. 😉

    Re: Masterpart

I always shop around for the best prices and if I want a hotpoint indesit creda cannon part I go direct they wount be beaten on price, problem is that when a customer asks for a price for a part you need to order because you haven’t got one on the van out on the road you look at the price and quote them because you don’t have 4-5 companies to look at with a computer screen in front of you especially if your doing 14 plus jobs a day. What gets on my nerves is connect putting vat on carriage, qualtex doesn’t do it. Plus I thought forums where about having a opinion everyone has 1 and sometimes not everyone agrees. Kai 😛

qualtex do charge vat on carriage- as do everyone who uses anything other than Royal Mail.

    Re: Masterpart

I have to say, I have accounts at Connect, Qualtex, Masterpart and Homespares, (BSH for individual items) I do look around for the best prices for every part I need, but connect and Qualtex usually do come up trumps on most prices and definitely availability. I keep trying to give Masterpart and Homespares a chance but their stock levels are just not good enough. So at the end of the day, they can be a bit cheaper but if they don’t have it, they’re no good to me.
Qualtex and connect also deliver by DPD , which is by far and away the best courier we deal with in my experience. The DPD app tracks the progress of my parcel with email, sms updates so I know when and am going to get the parts and can book customers in accordingly.

have to admit that Masterpart are not good at handling backorders…. even common stuff on just never seem to materialise. I cannot believe they have been out of stock of Bosch heat pumps (651956) for 2 months when everyone else has them…

That’s very important consideration for me as well. I have a very good relationship with the DPD driver and as you say, the app is great.
