No I know Martin and, like you, I was only playing Devil’s Advocate in large part. Point is that all views have to be considered and, whenever and wherever possible, all possible implications.
The council do listen and are paying attention and that’s the function of it and to debate out some sort of rational way forward that suits the needs of the many, not the one. Which probably means you and I will, as usual, be outta luck and there’ll be some compromise made that suits most people but, as the old adage goes, you can’t please all the people… 😉
I agree, I don’t think it’s a big issue really in fact I don’t even think it’s worthy of a lot of debate at the moment in all fairness. Strikes me as a minor detail and smacks of over officiousness IMO.
As I said earlier (more or less) on a post in the WTAC Forum, leave the old rules at the door as it’s obvious they didn’t work the first time around, why repeat the mistakes?
