MFI (Diplomat) 6317 drifge ice build-up and puddle

It’s a 6317. How long would you expect it to run before cutting out on the max and min settings ? Is it hours, or days ?

I’ve just re-read this thread and I would now take litlor’s advice and call an engineer, there is clearly something wrong.

I am an engineer, although not of the fridge/freezer variety ! Was trying to fix this myself withouth the expense of calling someone out.

So, fitted a new “thermostat” and all is well. Still don’t really understand how it works. It’s apparently not a thermostat but a timer that runs the compressor for different lengths of time, but it still has a temperature probe that sits behing the cooling plate.
