electrofix
Moderatorcant be the flow sensor it would not react in that way, sounds like a possible board fault

ParticipantOther people say it does react like that when the flow sensor is faulty? Only in my case I’m sure it isn’t.

never had one react like that and scanning some of the tech it does not mention pulsing in

ParticipantCan’t be sure but this sounds like it may be the same thing and is doing the pulsed inlet, his was cured by flow meter.

ParticipantAll points to the flow meter, but surely as I’ve replaced the Reed and metered it out and can see voltage when water is flowing it seems to be working. Could it be that the wheel isn’t turning fast enough so it thinks there’s low pressure?
We do have incredibly hard water, maybe I’ll try and descale the mixing chamber, perhaps the flow meter is scaled up?September 20, 2021 at 8:27 pm #478574gt5500

Moderatorwell you need to decide if you want to spend £32 on a flow switch
or if you think its the wheel £148 for an intakeI am doubtful it will cure it but i have been known to be wrong

ParticipantWhat do you mean by flow switch? I’ve already swapped the reed switch.

ParticipantI’m confident the reed part is working as it was before and now I’ve replaced it for good measure. That leaves 3 possibilities, the wheel is not turning fast enough or the magnet has got weak or the controller is not seeing the pulses from it.

Moderatorwell the magnet is easy to check. find a magnet and use your hand to simulate the wheel turning
still think its a board fault
where ever the board is . find it and remove and replace all the small connectors. If its a bad joint it should stop it
