Thanks Tony, I rang Miele yesterday and managed to get one through them for £40. should be arriving soon. I did give the model number hopefully they send the right one!

ParticipantNope, I spent ages explaining where it is located and how to replace it in an earlier post, I wonder why I bother doing this for free anymore.

Sorry Tony! I’m dyslexic so it takes me a while to understand. Not an excuse and I appreciate your replies honestly.
I think I have understood this properly now, the part has arrived from Miele but it’s labelled as a ‘temp sensor’ and with no jointing kit. I have attached the URL of the image as it was too large to upload. Is this the correct one?

ParticipantTo be honest I am not sure, I can only give part numbers for the exact same Miele model as produced by Liebherr with Liebherr part numbers, check to see if the jack plug is coloured with a black mark, as they are all colour coded on the jack plug and again on the sensor wire near the bulb end, from what I see that you have looks like the old original sensor that will need feeding up to the PCB in the facia panel, hence why newer versions have a joining kit to speed up and ease changing of the sensors and we only need to carry the kits on the van to do a variety of units providing they are resistance compatible.

ParticipantChecking your picture again I can see the black indication mark on it, so it is an evaporator coil sensor, but buying that instead of the part number I gave you has made extra work for you.

ParticipantAh thank you Tony for confirming this is the correct sensor! I did ask the guy at Miele if this had the conversion kit and he did say yes but never mind.
Do you think I should purchase a insulated box and crimps or just take this to the PCB?June 10, 2020 at 8:31 am #469144good1231
ParticipantMorning Tony. Miele has sent out the sensor again with the conversion kit this time!

ParticipantMake sure you read the instructions and ensure the quick on connector is left outside the freezer, normally behind the black condenser radiator.

Thanks Tony will do, the fridge has been behaving itself and hasn’t beeped for a few days. However it started beeping this afternoon!

ParticipantMorning Tony, quick one once the sensor is replied and the appliance is switched back on do I need to do a reset or anything or no?

ParticipantHi guys. Quick one is this the correct way to do this?

ParticipantHi all so i redone what I had done previously and did not leave any wires exposed, the fridge is on now. the freezer temp is blinking hopefully it should start hitting the temp soon. I have stuck it on super to speed it up
update: the freezer temperature is now displaying -18 I think the issue has been fixed and f4 is no longer displayed. Thank you guys

ParticipantSounds like your connections are not making a good contact, your picture looks like you are connecting it right providing each wire matches the same numbered slot, ie brown wires in 1, blue wires in 2 etc, if as it seems a connection issue is present, try connecting the brown (red) wires together and wrap in insulating tape and repeat with blue wires, I mention red wire as some older units have red and blue and newer ones use brown and blue, it will not be a problem leaving it taped up as it will be behind and outside the cabinet, I also see in the picture that another sensor has been fitted using a quick connection.

Thanks for the reply Tony I appreciate it , will try what you said. will it be okay using a connector block?
Sorry the other quick connection was the other half of this! -
