After thumbing through my information pack I would like to ask: –
1) . Does the monthly commission and the labour rate include or exclude VAT?
2) . As each policy is renewed on a monthly and not yearly basis will CSS ensure the goods are insured before requesting a service call?

With regards commission payments the only tax applicable is Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)
I.P.T. is the total responsibility of CSS for the purposes of this scheme.
So no there will be no necessity to add on any VAT.Obviousley if you carry out any work, then the labour rates are plus Vat
With regards checking that the policy is still ‘Live’ This is automatically done when you call CSS to report a service call request for which they will then issue you with a job/reference number. This number automatically validates the policy. HTH

John Hopwood came down today for a visit to show me the new ISE 10. Marvelous 😀 .
Also, he introduced me to the Insurance scheme and went through the facts etc…… I am soooo exited about this! I have already photocopied lots of forms as I intend selling as many of these as poss. (Del… if you could send me aload of customer packs please 🙂 ).
I rekon this is a winner, and I’m glad to have the oportunity to offer these policies. Nice one UKW! 😀

Hi all, 🙂
Does anyone know where we stand Legally with regards to advertising these policies? I wouldn’t mind dedicating a portion of my website to the advertising of these policies, so before I do, I would just like to know whether I have to abide by any FSA regs, or whether I can actively market them?

KeymasterCan’t see any reason why not so long as the Key Facts are given and point of sale. But I’ll check tomorrow.

Hi Adrian,
They are in PDF format for download from the article below. 😉
If you want some originals sending that’s not a problem, I have them in the office so they can be posted out Monday if you want?
For anyone that’s totally confused by this thread here’s what it’s all about, plus it’s a free plug and I can’t resist it. 😉
Monthly insurance policies and some explanation
New appliance policies and a bit of explanation
Both are designed to allow you to keep your own customer base and get paid, in many cases, as much or more than you get for a chargeable call.
