Obviously they don’t know this industry then eh?
My question would be, what’s the GUARANTEED ROI for that amount of investment? I’d be willing to bet that you get a very non-commital answer.

The day I had a call from them, it seems so did everyone else and their dog. Just look at the original thread on this and you will see what I mean.

Therefore whose interests do they have to heart when they set up a network of agents at a cost to those agents, and then have them all in competition for the same work.
Pyramid selling with a difference! I shan’t be bothering with that lot.

Has anyone tried Currys yet to see if this genuine or not ?
I cant see them being to happy if their name is being used in some type of how can I say it ‘recruitment’ for a network they know nothing about!!

I have to admit that thought occurred to me as well Dave as it’s not like Currys to do this. Anyways, why bother as they already have a network through CDSL? If I were in Currys’ shoes I think I’d be making that my first port of call and not some psuedo trade organisation that nobody (or not many) appears to have heard of until a few days ago.
I dunno, maybe they wanted plumbers really. Good luck with that if they pay the rates they pay us to work. 😉

Cancelled our meeting after I talked to my Business Manager at the Bank, he feels it does not seem quite right and advised against paying out or even giving any account details to a Company that cannot be checked out or is using a National Company name like Currys to ‘sell’ their product.
I am also going to e-mail Currys head office to find out if they know about this.

Well a moderator and I have had some fun over this as well as some email which only heightens my already deep rooted suspicions. Depending on the response I get from the mail I just sent I may well share it over the weekend, but the mods can confirm why that, given the givens, I’d be saying…
Give this lot a VERY wide berth.

Hi folks,
This is the OFFICIAL position from the Dixons Stores Group (DSG) who own the Currys stores and brand names.
DSG wrote:OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM CURRYS
Please note that myhomeconnect has NO authority to use our name in any context, whether to recruit members or otherwise. There is no arrangement in place between Currys and myhomeconnect relating to installation or repair services, nor will there be in the future.
As is perfectly clear, this is not a Currys endorsed program.
