I’d guess that the alternating valve has stuck. One of the Bosch lads will be able to confirm that I’m right or that I’m just daft. 😛
    Or both? 😉

It does sound like a waterpoint valve failure . Have you got the full model number Mac ?

Thanks for replies, ENR is S4443NEGB. Had a feeling there must be a valve playin up somewhere. Is it a pig to do ? Its just that ive enough easy stuff to be getting on with, not in mood for hassles in january!

Yea its a pig 😥 Complete heater change.
Lid and sides off, loosen base lie it on its left side and access fom there.
Its a fiddle but when you’ve done a few it gets better.
Check that model number 😉 get if off the stainless of the door inner.

As gegsy said it is a heater chamber that needs changing as divertor valve is located inside there and it is a pig of a job.

    40mins 😆
Would take that long to get it out and in again then levelling even before repairing, depending on installation 😉

quickest ive done one in is 36 mins its easy job when you know how they come apart, ya dont have too lay them on there side, lid off, sides off, 2 rear lower screws, all usual screws inside and salt cap ,(dont take nothing off door or lower plinth ) unclip brake cords from hinge, now look up a couple of inches and you will see steel hinge plates running up, in the middle will be a machine screw holding them there, unscrew it ,if you lever side hinge plates apart just above where screw was while pulling whole cavity towards you (while standing in front of the door) with a bit off wiggling and gentle pulling the whole cavity will hinge towards you , oh and make sure you use the box that new heater came in to put under door to stop it hitting floor, if all goes well you should be looking at the entire contents of the base 😀 like everything in life once you have done it the first time it does get easier. hope this helps everyone smartin

Before going down this line, check that you have diagnosed the fault correctly. Could still be a blocked metering hose!!!!

If that were the case Bob, you would get insufficient water therefore definately not enough to be pumped to top spray arm. 😀

    😳
Whoops, didn’t read the original post properly. I thought it was the top spray not working.
