if bearings have gone it sounds like the pump seal has been leaking, seen it a few times

if you do buy another bosch choose one with an all metal tub, the cheaper ones use a plastic floor and they can cause problems

if you want cheaper look at Beko, spares if needed are no problem plus it has a 2 year guarentee

Thanks andyjawa (I think!). Yes, I’m confused.
Some must do a better job of cleaning and be more practical than others?

    Hi Dave,
How can you tell which Bosch machines have an all metal tub?
As I say above: If they are all more or less of the same poor reliability, is the difference in how well they clean and in how good they are in terms of practicality?
Though, before my head explodes, I think I’ll just go for the Bosch Serie 2 SPV2HKX39G.
    Cheers, Mark

it is a bit of a minefield

the metal floor ones are more up the range but all carry 2 years guarentee

the main unreliability lies in the motor assembly. its important to make sure all filters are clean as are the holes in the wash bars.

if there is poor water flow through the motor it could lead to its failure so rinsing off the plates to remove debris is a good move
